Job Description

Who We Are:
The Canadian Council of the Blind (CCB) is a not-for-profit organization that serves Canadians who are blind, deaf-blind or vision impaired. Founded in 1944, the CCB works to improve the quality of life for persons with vision loss through awareness, peer mentoring, socializing, sports, advocacy, health promotion and illness prevention. The national office is located in Ottawa, and has over 70 chapters across Canada.

Our primary initiative, Mobile Eye Clinics (MEC), brings licensed optometrists directly to schools and senior residences to conduct eye exams for both children and seniors. MEC offers a convenient, efficient, and effective way to examine a large number of students and seniors. By administering more eye exams, we can identify and address vision problems more effectively.
