Optometrist

The Barnard Eye Center is an established, busy ophthalmology practice in Vernon, BC that provides comprehensive ophthalmic care to Vernon and the North Okanagan. We have 2 ophthalmologists and an optometrist working in the clinic providing medical, surgical, and emergency on-call coverage to the region. We have a large modern office with numerous fully equipped exam lanes, in office lasers, procedure room, and state of the art ophthalmic equipment. The full scope of ophthalmic care is provided in our facility.

We are seeking 1 or 2 new graduate or experienced optometrists to join our eye care team. Work will mainly be co-management of ophthalmology patients. This is a great opportunity for someone interested in expanding their knowledge over time. There will be plenty of opportunity to see patients independently and in a team-based setting. Willingness to learn is essential. Must have great interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a team environment. Candidates must hold or be eligible for licensure to practice optometry in British Columbia.

Schedule: Full-time. Clinic open Monday-Friday, sometimes Saturday.
