Optometric Assistant (Summer Student Position)

We are seeking a motivated optometry student to join our well-established, full-scope practice for a hands-on clinical experience. This is an excellent opportunity to build practical skills while working alongside an experienced team delivering comprehensive eye care.

Our clinic offers a broad range of services, including comprehensive eye exams, advanced dry eye management, myopia control, Orthokeratology (Ortho-K), and Vision Therapy. You will gain direct exposure to modern diagnostic and treatment technologies, including MYAH for myopia management, Optos retinal imaging, OCT, and Humphrey Visual Field analysis.

In this role, you will:
Develop clinical proficiency through pre-testing and patient workups using advanced instrumentation
Gain insight into dry eye treatment protocols using leading-edge technologies using IPL and iLux
Build a strong understanding of practice operations, including appointment coordination, patient flow, and front-desk processes
Learn billing fundamentals, including OHIP codes and payment processing
Contribute to delivering a high-quality, patient-centered experience

Position Details:
Full-time: Approximately 35 hours per week
Start date: As early as May 11
Compensation: $18.50 per hour
