Brooklin Optometric Centre is a busy, family oriented eye care clinic in search of a caring, compassionate, enthusiastic and motivated office manager to join our team.

The successful office manager will ensure smooth, efficient day to day operations of our busy optometry clinic.   In conjunction with our current optometric assistants/reception/optical staff, the manager duties will include, but are not limited to: 

  • Answer multiple telephone lines, schedule and confirm patient appointments
  • Book patients and ensure doctors’ schedules are filled
  • Manage the recall system
  • Ensure referrals to specialists are processed in a timely manner
  • Assist patients with frame selection, styling, fitting, lens selection, measurements and adjustments
  • Establish efficient processes and procedures to ensure timely and accurate processing of spectacle and contact lens orders
  • Resolve patient/client concerns in accordance to company policy and procedures (Be the “escalation point of contact” for difficult issues, and provide a resolution)
  • Manage employee schedule to ensure adequate staffing levels
  • Plan and coordinate special (sponsored) events
  • Maintain optimal frame inventory
  • Reconcile Ministry of Health/3rd party insurance billings
  • Create and maintain a consistent online/social media presence
  • Complete administrative functions including revenue posting and invoice processing
