Optometry Student

We are seeking a motivated Optometry Student to join our team. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in the field of eye care, providing an opportunity to apply academic knowledge in a clinical setting. The ideal candidate will assist with patient care, learn about optical products, and support daily operations within our optometry practice. This paid internship is designed for students pursuing a degree in optometry or related healthcare fields who are eager to develop their skills and gain industry insight.

Responsibilities:
Assist optometrists with patient examinations and preliminary assessments
Prepare exam rooms and ensure all equipment is sterilized and ready for use
Support the fitting and adjustment of optical devices and eyewear
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems
Support inventory management and restocking of optical supplies
Participate in laboratory procedures related to lens fabrication and adjustments
Uphold safety standards and maintain a clean, organized work environment

Skills:
Strong understanding of medical terminology related to eye care and optometry
Previous laboratory experience or optical experience is highly desirable
Experience in retail sales or customer service, with a focus on sales techniques
Familiarity with electronic health record systems is a plus
Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new procedures and technologies
