Our growing office needs another full-time optometrist, with the potential of future partnership for interested candidates. This is an exceptional opportunity to practice full-scope optometry while maintaining a great work-life balance! The “notorious” city is a popular tourist destination, offering all the amenities of a larger city but with a smaller hometown feel.

Our office has provided over 40 years of full-scope, independent eye care! We serve Moose Jaw's wide-ranging population of ~35,000 plus multiple smaller communities in the area, allowing you to practice to full scope. We provide comprehensive eye exams to all ages with an emphasis on prevention of ocular disease, and we work closely with our two local ophthalmologists as well as co-manage with Saskatchewan-based laser surgery centres.

We also provide:

-biannual remote eye care to 5+ different First Nations Communities

-home visits within Moose Jaw and to Central Butte Care Home 

-Lantern colour vision testing for CN and CP Rail

-specialty exams as requested – none of our docs are currently seeing patients for Binocular Vision exams, Scleral/RGP CL fits, or Low Vision evals, but we are very open to someone interested in specializing in any of these areas!

Our office features:

-four full exam lanes & additional wheelchair lane

-two full pre-test rooms with autoR/K and NCT/pachymetry

-separate contact lens training room with pre-test (autoR/K and NCT) 

-California Optomap, Nidek camera fundus photography, Heidelberg Spectralis OCT

-Octopus visual field machine and FDT visual screener

-hand-held Keeler slit lamp, Tonopen & iCare tonometers, Bleph-Ex treatment apparatus

-wonderful staff of optometric assistants, ophthalmic dispensers, and opticians!

-Optosys EMR system (as part of OSI buying group)

-over 1000 frames in our dispensary, great relationship with all major contact lens companies, dozens of other products listed on our website

Hours & Salary:

-competitive salary with guaranteed daily minimum and percentage of gross revenue

-yearly bonus based on total dispensing revenue

-NO weekend or late evening hours (we’re open MTWF from 8:30-5:00 and Th from 10:00-6:30) 

-clinical support available from the three other doctors in the office
