Optometrist needed in Victoria, BC

We are seeking a dedicated Optometrist to join our team at Maycock Eyecare. In this role, you will provide comprehensive eye examinations and personalized patient care, contributing to our mission of enhancing the visual health of our community. Our office values technology and you will be working with an OCT, Optos, NCT, Pachymeter, Auto-refractor, FDT visual fields and Humphrey visual fields. We have an amazing team of optometric assistants and opticians to help you deliver amazing eyecare in a beautiful clinic. This opportunity would initially be a part time position and would eventually transform into a full time position in the future.

Responsibilities
Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess vision and diagnose eye conditions.
Provide appropriate treatment plans and recommendations for eyewear and lenses.
Educate patients on proper eye care practices and the importance of regular check-ups.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain accurate patient records using electronic health record systems.
Stay updated on advancements in optometry and eye care technology.

Requirements
Doctor of Optometry degree from an accredited institution.
Valid optometry license to practice in BC, Canada.
Strong understanding of optical products and services.
Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach.
Familiarity with medical terminology related to eye health.
Sales experience is a plus but not required.
