Brooklin Optometric Centre is excited to welcome a detail-oriented and patient-focused Optometric Assistant for a full-time 18-month contract position (with a potential to extend to permanent) in our friendly, community-centered eye care clinic.
Position: Optometric Assistant
Job Type: Full-Time, 18-Month Contract (40 hours/week)

Experience in the optical field (required)
Your Role - As a key member of our team, you will:
Greet patients and coordinate appointments via phone and in-person
Build trust and comfort with patients and teammates
Offer expert frame styling with a flair for fashion
Customize lens solutions based on patient needs and lifestyle
Perform frame adjustments, measurements, and fittings for optimal comfort and vision
Collaborate with optometrists and dispensary team to ensure prescription accuracy and patient satisfaction
Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and support ongoing clinic improvements
Qualifications:
Prior experience in an optical or optometrist office required
Background in retail sales or customer service is preferred
Familiarity with optometric terminology and OD Office Pro is an asset
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
