At Burns Vision Centre, we currently have two experienced optometrists in our busy full scope optometric clinics in Port Hawkesbury and St-Joseph-du-Moine. Our main activities are family eyecare, emergency care and co-management care to our patients.

Our team:
You will be actively supported by a well-trained and efficient team members: 3 licensed opticians, an office manager, and 3 Optometric Assistants. All pre-testing and billing is taken care by our staff.

Our office equipment includes:
• EMR (Optosys software)
• Humphrey field analyzer
• OCT
• Fundus camera
• Auto refractor/keratometer
• Non-contact tonometer
• l-care tonometer
• Pachymeter

Schedule
5 Days a week, mainly in our Port Hawkesbury office, with the occasional trip to our St-Joseph-du-Moine office.

This is a full-time role for which we are also open to consider 2 Associates ODs working part time.

We offer a competitive compensation, with a revenue ranging from $140,000 to $170,000 and a signing bonus for full-time employment. Additional benefits include vacation time, dental care, extended health care, and life insurance. We also cover your annual NSCO licensing fee (currently $1785.95).

We are also willing to hire a part-time Optometrist working 1-2 days per week.

Ability to commute/relocate to Port Hawkesbury, NS is required for this role. You must be a Canadian Board Certified Licensed Optometrist. Fluency in French would be an asset but is not required.
