    Second Opinion Needed?

I was recently told that my 3 years old daughter needed glasses and with her initial glasses the best vision she would have would be 60/20 in one eye and 20/20 in the other. We were also told that with her glasses the best we could ever hope for was 20/20 in both eyes WITH glasses. Should I get a second opinion?

    Dr. Sally Aldayeh's response:

    Hello Heather,

Your daughter should wear her prescription glasses as much as possible, soon check if her vision with correction in the worse eye improves to 20/20, if not, eye patching of the better eye should commence under the supervision of your Optometrist, this will strengthen her worse eye. Again Heather, health professional always encourage second opinion, if patient is uncomfortable…Thank you
