I have myopia, and was just wondering why, at a closer distance, my sight is clearer without glasses than with glasses. Also, while wearing glasses and viewing things at closer distances, should it strain my eyes.

    Dr. Sonja Gascoyne's response:

Hello Ahn, If you are experiencing blurred vision at close distances and experiencing eye strain, than it sounds like your reading prescription is out of date. I would recommend having your prescription checked at your next full eye examination. Your optometrist can verify/change your reading prescription to allow you more comfortable vision at close distances. Good luck! Dr. Donati
