Hi, I wore contact lenses for 10 years then I've got Lasik laser surgery on both eyes 11 years ago. My myopia was -8. I've been ok for 9 years but my myopia came back (around -1). I'm wearing glasses. I tried to buy contact lenses but I can not find the right one for my left eyes. I saw three optometrist but they say they can not find appropriate one. They always try to find soft contact lenses. In surgery case where it's difficult to find a fit, do you have recommendation? Would I have better chances with mid-hard contact lenses? Thanks.

    Canadian Association of Optometrists's response:

Steve, Laser vision correction often alters the shape of the cornea to the point of making it less compatible with contact lenses. In such cases, rigid gas permeable (RGP) lenses can be an option. The reason is that a soft lens assumes the shape of your cornea, whereas an RGP lens retains its shape, providing a more perfect optical surface. Eric
