    Pain in Left Eye

When I roll my eyes up and to the left, I feel pain in my left eye. The pain is an ache that seems to be IN my left eye and behind it. If I roll my eyes a few times, i will get a headache from the pain. Also, in the dark, when I roll my eyes the same way, I can see two green half moons when I am looking up and to the left, accompanied by the dull pain. They disappear after a few seconds. My GP assessed my eyes, found nothing, and sent me for a CT, of which I am awaiting the results. In the meantime, the pain is daily and is driving me crazy. Any ideas?

    Dr Joan Hansen's response:

    Dan,
If the CT scan is negative, it is time to see an optometrist for further evaluation. If needed they can send you on to the appropriate ophthalmologist for further exploration and treatment.
